Reviews of One Sentence

One ad looks just like another, these days.

Web ad, 1998. Client: None. Agency: None. Art Director and Writer: Ian Lloyd. Cause of death: See below. MORE »

Yeah, but why is it still a beta after three years?

Ad Graveyard fan and programming whiz Ian Lloyd submitted this parody of the actual Lucasfilm ad on the preceding page. Contributions to the Ad Graveyard may be in appalling taste, but they are supposed to be real. In this case, we've bent the rules because, hey, we made 'em.

For the intellectuals in the crowd (both of you): So here we have a film company's real ad, but instead of touting their own movie, they parody the bad work of a competing studio. Yanked from fear of litigation, the ad is resurrected in The Ad Graveyard, where it gets parodied by an open source geek with too much time on his hands. This is all, like, so meta.
