Great article – can’t wait for a break to read it!
As the ‘godfather’, couldn’t you have at least tucked in your shirt?
An excellent interview! I hope they correct the “HMTL” typo before it goes to print.
Yes, bring An Event Apart to Europe, dude. We’ve been waiting.

Glad you got past that ‘sucker’ feeling Jeffrey! Looking forward to the mag :)
Wow, nice read. Plenty of quotables in there too!
Nice photos!
Oh, and the article was neat, too. Although I can’t help but feel that it covered things you’ve said elsewhere as opposed to generated much actual new information.
WIsh I could listen to this instead. You look pissed off in the pics!
I really like the last line of the interview;
Designing with web standards has become Zeldman’s life story.
Nice. Also +1 for AEA Europe, Dublin is a convenient spot for all of Europe…:)
Ironically, it was posted as a PDF.
It was a great read though!

Ever since you posted that photo, I’ve been trying to piece together a specification for hypermark text-up language. I mean, it looks like it won, right?
I’m thinking it would use a lot of wingdings…

The part about An Event Apart coming to Europe (England?!) made me excited. Shame that this bloody recession is ongoing. I’ll be the first in line for tickets when it does get announced, that is, if my work/work hours allow it.
News flash! An HTML version of the interview has now been posted on net’s website.

I would state this broader: “Defending the Web Designer’s profession..” is more like ist, web standards beeing one facette of it.
