Downtime at Disney World
DAY TWO, mid-day, taking a breather in our hotel room. Listening to my daughter play with her tiny new Disney figurines. In the distance, the gull-like shrieks of children in the hotel pool.

I am actually jealous. My daughter would love to go.
I am taking my nieces in October. Can’t wait.
Smart on taking the breather, I hear it is a marathon type trip.
I am actually jealous. My daughter is 16 and our trips to Disney are fond memories. Soak it up Jeffrey, these moments are precious!
I can’t wait to hear your trip summary.
Just did the same thing a few months ago. I was initially worried that the vacation would turn into a stressful scheduling nightmare. It was the opposite. My son’s favorite times were playing in the pool and with his new toys. They were my favorite times, too.
Have a good rest of your stay at Disney.
Yes, we are all are jealous. Disney is such an amazing place to go to. I sometimes think about venturing there one day. Hopefully, I’ll have the money some day =/.
It’s hard to enjoy other theme parks as much once you’ve been to Disney World. The details they manage and the user experience they design seems to be best-in-class for families and adults.
I look forward to taking our daughter when she’s old enough to appreciate it. We had fun just taking her to Sesame Place.
Sounds fun :) Hope you have a good time!

Seeing your pics on Gowalla brought back very fond memories; it looks like you got there at a time where you were not flooded by too many people. I love seeing the love between you and your daughter (I was and still am a “Daddy’s little girl”).
I’m glad you’re taking a break. Disney’s great for recapturing joy. I hope you’re feeling better.
I am a bit jealous, sounds like good fun!
Your daughter is so lucky to spend her vacation at the famous walt disney world. Can’t wait to go there with my family.
