A List Apart Arabic

A List Apart Arabic

Since 1998, A List Apart has sought to serve the international web design and development community with educational, insightful, and sometimes visionary articles on web standards, emerging ideas and technologies, and best practices in content, usability, and design.

One barrier has long prevented us from fulfilling our goal to the utmost. But today we transcend it. Introducing A List Apart Arabic—an authorized A List Apart publication. Thank you and congratulations to Mohammad Saleh Kayali and his partners.

Look for additional international A List Apart editions, coming soon.

That’s interesting. Is it a translated version of the english issues? or original articles? I’d be interested in a spanish version of ALA, how can we collaborate?

Good on ya! Language (and culture) can be such difficult barriers to overcome, and translation is a neverending challenge. Good for you for diving into it.

Thank you so much Jeffrey for making this possible.

I would like to add that it was all possible because of our great team: Beshr Kayali (developer/designer), Maya Zankoul (illustrator) and Ahmad Mahmoud (site admin)

Thank you so much again and looking forward for more international editions of A List Apart (it should be everywhere ^_^ )

I am completely blown away by this. I can’t wait to start directing everyone I know! Great job, Mohammd and Maya and the whole team. I can’t wait to see and hear about the impact this will have on the Arabic-language web, in ways I can’t even imagine.

Thats’s impressive but I didn’t realise the Arabic market was big enough to cater for such a thing. Your next version must be Mandarin or Cantonese…

The first thing that struck me, as a non-arab speaker/reader, is the non-consitensy in the title->url conversion (dashed vs un-dashed). That, and Issue 0.
