Someone could write a study on how moving and changes in marital status can cause a domain to lapse, and that someone could be me.

    “Why are you reading this?”

…because there is always a struggle between creativity and gravity…sometimes friction wins

I happen to work for a very large registrar at the moment that is very sales focused, and we always say “Are you keeping this? Then lets get it extended out for a few years, that way you don’t have to worry about it.”

While we are totally just trying to get a sale, but there is a fair amount of truth and justification in extending out domains if you have the budget for it.

Anyway, I totally sympathize. It’s easy to ignore these things and let them lapse, especially when life gets crazy.
