Maybe it would have been better to retire DWWS and come up with a new title and series altogether. I think that would have accomplished even more than is possible with a 3rd edition, for many reasons.

Why doesn’t amazon reset the reviews and keep the editions separate?

You can ask Amazon to do that, and they’ll comply with the request. But people have written hundreds of heartfelt reviews, positive and negative, since the first edition debuted. We felt it would be wrong to delete them. (There isn’t an option to tag individual reviews just to the edition being reviewed. You either keep all the old reviews or flush them.) Strategically, too, a 3rd edition with no old reviews could create a misleading impression. For these reasons, we opted to keep the old reviews. Third edition reviews by readers of past editions can describe what is new, discuss whether what’s new is relevant and to whom, and so on.

Actually would love to do a review however haven’t purchased yet since I have the last two editions.

However since it is a new book (regardless of it just being an ‘edition’ update) Why doesn’t amazon reset the reviews and keep the editions separate?
