I also agree with Eric’s comments about generated content. What’s more, it’s great to actually see the guy for the first time.

Glad to know that you guys are thinking of it. Maybe putting some of the conferences into audio would be easier ? I know some php conferences do that, it’s not as good as seeing a video of course, but still, could be a faster way of putting an event apart to a more worlwide audience.

You must provide us with the videos or DVDs of an event apart, please. Most of us who can’t attend to the event will pay for it. No doubt about that. Come on, don’t let us miss all that great stuff because we live outside the United States, please.

Matthieu: Thanks for your interest! Bonnemaison of Baltimore captured An Event Apart New Orleans -- two 9.5 hour days of peace, love, and HTML -- on multiple high-definition widescreen cameras and direct sound. The footage their talented staff of videographers captured is absolutely brilliant. But compiling a full-length DVD or video of the event would be a massive task. Just putting the first few very short clips together took a few weeks of editorial finessing: choosing the right camera angle at the right time, and so on. A full-length production would take months and a big budget. Plus, if we wanted to go for it, we'd need to get all our speakers on board. Eric and I are aware of and grateful for people's continuing interest in this possibility, and we'll keep thinking about whether or not such a project is feasible. Thanks!

Amen to that, Mr. Armstrong. It’s quite staggering how many accessibility issues can pop up if you’re not careful with css. This is something I must learn to pay more attention to in the future.
