An Event Apart Seattle sells out

An Event Apart Seattle has sold out. It happened yesterday. In all the excitement, I forgot to write about it.

If you have already secured a seat for this remarkable two-day web design conference, get ready to have a good time with Tim Bray, Andy Budd, Mike Davidson, Shawn Henry, Shaun Inman, Jason Santa Maria, Khoi Vinh, Jeffrey Veen, and your hosts, Eric Meyer and me.

If you missed the opportunity to join us in Seattle, I’m sorry we couldn’t accommodate you.

Our next show will be An Event Apart Chicago, August 27–28, 2007, featuring Dan Cederholm, Lou Rosenfeld, Liz Danzico, Jeremy Keith, Jim Coudal, Luke Wroblewski, Derek Featherstone, Jason Santa Maria, and the same old Eric Meyer and me.

Tickets for An Event Apart Chicago go on sale Monday, May 21. Look for an announcement at aneventapart.com or subscribe to the Event Apart RSS feed.

So wish I could have gone after AEA Seattle ’06, but when my department wouldn’t even pay for Webvisions ($175 + hotel + a tank of gas to/from Portland), getting them to pay for AEA wasn’t going to happen. Sigh.

Looking forward to the decks (if they’re posted publicly… please?)

Ricky is clearly not from Louisville, since natives pronounce it “lewville”. Impostor! Pod person! Throw him off the Humana Building!

ahhhh, crap. Too slow. I had a great time last year. See what procrastinating gets me. Waiting list? Slides?

I had finally gotten my employer to say, “no.” I was going to register for it out of my own budget after clearing it with my boss at home a couple of days later and someone told me that it was sold out. Oh, crap!

Last year’s Seattle event was swell. This year’s though double the length seemed more than double-the wow. I’m so sorry I’m missing it.

Please consider Seattle again in the future. Even better, come to Portland.

This is silly I’m just now seeing this several months later. But, ERIC MEYER, you are right. I am not from Louisville. But I live here! Everyone here pronounces it wrong! Wrong! His name was King Louis (lew-ee) not King LULL, as the natives suggest. Even my wife doesn’t get it…

I’ll see you in Chicago next week at AEA. WOOH!
