An Event Apart Boston selling fast
Seats for An Event Apart Boston are vanishing faster than donuts in a firehouse. We expect to sell out even before the $100-off discount rate expires on February 26th. And yes, we are as surprised as anyone by the incredible response to this event.
With tickets selling this briskly, the special room rate we secured with the hotel is going fast as well. If you plan to attend this show, book your room and register while you can. I post this message not to goose sales (they’re goosing themselves) but to ensure that nobody who wants to attend misses out. An Event Apart Boston will be our only East Coast show this year.
We now return to our regularly scheduled programming.

I have to believe that part of the reason AEA Boston is selling so well is because we Bostonians have a severe lack of web events, especially when it comes to design. This is probably our best event in a long while, so people are hopping to it knowing they may not see anything as good for a long while. You’d think a city like Boston would have for events like this.
At any rate, I’ll be in attendance. Looking forward to seeing everyone again, hearing some good talks, and meeting some new people too.
a bit off topic (looking towards the future)… Any word on what month AEA Chicago will happen?
August. We expect to roll into Chicago in August. Shh, don’t tell.
tell what? I didnt hear a thing. ;)
danke.
You would indeed! Well, we love Boston, so we’ll try to make a habit of coming back frequently.
How about NYC – has an event like this ever been done in Manhattan? Javits Center!
We held our first two-day Event Apart event in Manhattan last year. An Event Apart NYC 2006 featured Tantek Çelik, zefrank, Aaron Gustafson, Jason Santa Maria, Khoi Vinh, Eric Meyer, and me of course. The schedule provides details, and there’s even a Flickr group dedicated to the event. We restricted the audience to 125 people. This year’s events are for a bigger audience (which allows us to charge a lower per-day ticket price).
